PA P.E.T.S. (Pennsylvania Prevent Excess Through Sterilization) welcomes you to our web site. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping solve the pet overpopulation problem in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties through our two branches. By helping to finance the cost of spaying or neutering pets of low-income individuals and families since 1984, our volunteer-driven organization has succeeded in the sterilization over 12,827 dogs and cats. In 2008 between our two branches, we helped to spay or neuter 1,178 dogs and cats. In addition to our low-cost spay and neuter programs, we also strive to educate the public on proper pet care and other related topics.
