LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE AT VETERINARY OFFICES

Applications will no longer to be taken over the phone

LEWISBURG – To help with reaching more low-income families and individuals with unspayed or unneutered pets, the S/U/N branch of PA P.E.T.S. has placed applications for their low-cost spay/neuter program at participating local veterinary offices. Applications for the program will no longer be taken over their toll-free phone number which was the prior procedure for requesting assistance.

Only families and individuals from Northumberland, Snyder, and Union county can apply for assistance which is based upon a sliding scale of total household gross income. Households above $35,000 do not qualify for the program. Applicants are required to provide proof of income for all household members as well as enclose their co-pay along with the completed application to be mailed to PA P.E.T.S. Applications can be picked up at the following participating veterinary offices:

• Animal Care Hospital, Lewisburg

• Companion Animal Hospital, Selinsgrove

• Elysburg Animal Hospital, Elysburg

• Lewisburg Veterinary Hospital, Lewisburg

• Middleburg Veterinary Service, Middleburg

• Mifflinburg Veterinary Clinic, Mifflinburg

• Selinsgrove Veterinary Hospital, Selinsgrove

• Sunbury Animal Hospital, Sunbury

• Susquehanna Trail Animal Hospital, Watsontown

For those that are unable to pick up an application at one of the participating veterinary offices, it can be downloaded at the organization’s web site, www.papets.org.

PA P.E.T.S. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping solve the pet overpopulation problem in Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties. By helping to finance the cost of spaying or neutering pets of low-income individuals and families, this volunteer-driven branch has succeeded in the sterilization over 14,131 dogs and cats. In addition to our low-cost spay and neuter program, they also strive to educate the public on proper pet care and other related topics.
